Knit-U:
Want some help but evening or morning shop hours are more convenient for you? Come in Wednesday nights and Friday mornings for project questions and assistance and there's NO FEE!

These Knit-U's are an excellent way to refresh or learn new skills, learn knitting basics in an informal and convivial setting with friendly, helpful staff and to coalesce with fellow knitters and crocheters. Want to start a new project, get a little help along the way or resume one that's been fallow for awhile? Wednesday evening Knit-U's from 5:30 to 8pm and Friday morning Knit-U's from 10am - 11am could be just the ticket! A great way to get together with fellow knitters and crocheters, enhance or learn new skills and, yes, shop, too!

Do these Knit-U's replace shop help and Knit-Ins during other shop hours? Absolutely not!

Class Schedule

Beautiful Linen Basics:
Learn the ins and outs of working with one of the earliest fibers used in textiles and yet still one of the most misunderstood fibers in the modern world. Fear Not! Learn easy linen essentials in this one-session class that includes a mini-project, too!
WHEN: Sun, Aug 3, 1-3pm OR Sun, Dec 7, 1pm-3pm
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basics (able to knit & purl) & up.
CLASS SIZE: Min 3 Max 6.
WHAT TO BRING: 1 pr wood or bamboo SPN's, size US 5 or US6.
INSTRUCTOR: Ginnie Dugan
TUITION: $55 (includes yarn kit).

Felted Fair Isle Mini-Bucket Bag:
Sounds "clumpy" but it's not! Great for getting the hang of two-color knitting, using a circular needle and doing I-cords and, of course, felting - in one little fun and functional project!
WHEN (3-session classes): Sundays July 13, 20 & 27 OR Sundays Oct 5, 19, 26, 1pm-3pm.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basics & up (able to knit & purl and familiar with in-the-round).
CLASS SIZE: Min 3 Max 6.
WHAT TO BRING: 16" circular needle size US11.
INSTRUCTOR: Ginnie Dugan
TUITION: $75 (includes yarn).

Felted Hearts:
Inspired by Elizabeth Zimmerman's imaginative hearts, Ginnie's created a fun way to knit these delights, making short-rows and felting as easy as can be. Make them in any size you want for decorations, embellishments and, yes, even potholders (wool is one of the great insulators!)
WHEN (2-session classes): Sundays June 8 &22 OR Sundays Nov 9 & 16, 1-3pm
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basics & up.
CLASS SIZE: Min 3 Max 6.
WHAT TO BRING: US 11 needles, either 16" CN or pair of 9" or longer SPN's.

Simple Mittens-in-the-Round:
What easier way to dive into in-the-round knitting!
WHEN (2-session classes): Sundays June 29 & July 6, 1-4pm
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basics & up (knit, purl with ease).
CLASS SIZE: Min 3 Max 6.
WHAT TO BRING: 1dpns, size US6 (5-needle set).
INSTRUCTOR: Sina Wright
TUITION: $60 (includes yarn).

Socks Made Easy:
Baffled by the quirks of sock knitting? This 3-session class covers sock knitting tips & tricks, and the nuances that make heel and toe shaping a breeze.
WHEN (2-session classes): Sundays Aug 10 & 24, 1-4 pm
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basics & able to knit in the round with dpns.
CLASS SIZE: Min 3 Max 6.
WHAT TO BRING: dpns (5-needle sets) size US5 & US6
INSTRUCTOR: Sina Wright
TUITION: $65 (includes yarn).

Registration:
Full tuition payment at time of registration is required to reserve your space. Please register early so you and your fellow students won't be disappointed. Mystic River Yarns hires each teacher and is committed to holding the class once minimum enrollment is met. TUITION FEES are NON-REFUNDABLE except: as follows: 1) Student cancels seven (7) or more calendar days prior to the class date; 2) Minimum enrollment is not met and class is canceled by the Instructor. If a class must be canceled because of severe weather, the student shall be offered the option of refund or shop credit if there is no snow date for the class OR if no other date for this class is scheduled within the next six (6) months. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Private Lessons:
